Conditions

  • All trail users acknowledge and assume all risk.
  • Bicyclists should always yield to non-bicyclists
  • Do not make any changes to the trails, if you have ideas email us
  • Announce your approach to other trail users
  • Natural trail features can be dangerous and may change daily due to nature and use
  • Watch for roots, rocks, logs, pot-holes, falling trees

  • Natural trail features can be dangerous and may change daily due to nature and use
  • Watch for roots, rocks, logs, pot-holes, falling trees, branches, drop-offs, cliffs and other hidden dangers
  • Always inspect trail features before attempting and assess against your skill level
  • Helmets are strongly recommended for bicycling, and are required at Hawks Ridge; eye protection and gloves are recommended
  • Do not stop in the middle of the trail. Move quickly to the side to avoid collisions
  • Stay on trails and do not make shortcuts of any kind
  • We have added a new 'Walkers Only' trail on top of the ridge
  • In an emergency, dial 911 and proceed to the closest non-interstate road if able. At HR we have added a new signed Emergency exit trail.
  • No motorized vehicles. (Exception: motorized maintenance equipment and Class 1 E-bikes)
  • DO NOT LITTER, if you bring it into the park, pack it out

Trails are closed when the conditions are wet and muddy to avoid trail damage.


Hawks Ridge will have a CLOSED sign across the trailhead access when conditions are poor.


Occasionally we may close the trail for other reasons


Current trail conditions can be found on multiple apps, including Trailbot, Facebook, X and Instagram
